Social Responsibility

The College of Applied Medical Sciences, with its administrative units and scientific departments, has been keen on implementing various programs for volunteer work and community responsibility since its inception. This program is managed by the Volunteer and Community Service Unit at the college to include students and female members of the college, and even extends to provide its services and programs to students and female members of the university in addition to members of the community, with the aim of social development, whether through opinion, work, scientific research, or otherwise. This is based on the college’s cooperation with internal and external parties at the university in order to meet the needs of their community and achieve Vision 2030.

Initiative implementation controls

Maintaining the reputation and status of the university in all publications and advertisements related to initiatives.
The supervisor of the initiative must be a faculty member or an administrator from the college.
Commitment of the supervisor of the implementing initiative to present the initiative’s publications and bulletins to the unit head to obtain approval for publication.
Initiatives are submitted to the unit’s email 4 weeks before the proposed implementation date.
Commitment to the university’s regulations and systems in the event of cooperation with parties outside the university
Commitment to submitting a report after the end of the match to the unit’s email, provided that the submission does not exceed two weeks from the end date.
A survey of the beneficiaries’ opinions on the implemented initiative should be submitted and the survey results should be included in the report submitted to the volunteer work coordinator after the initiative is implemented.

Rights of volunteers in volunteer work or participants in community initiatives

Review the activity objectives and desired results.
Clarifying the tasks of the volunteer or participant and what is expected of him/her
Clarifying the tasks assigned to the volunteer or participant and what is expected of him/her
Each volunteer or participant is assigned the work that suits his/her capabilities and abilities.
Clarify the time required from the volunteer or participant to spend on the selected initiatives.
Treating the volunteer or participant with respect and giving him/her confidence to carry out the agreed upon tasks and responsibilities
